Amar Seafood AS is looking for a Technical Manager for our juvenile halibut facility in Tømmervåg, Tustna.
About the position
Amar Seafood is starting production of Atlantic halibut at our new facility in Tømmervåg, Tustna, and we are therefore looking for a Technical Manager to join our team. Together with the rest of the organization, you will play a key role in the start-up phase of the facility, as well as in the further operation and development of the production.
Responsibilities
- Overall responsibility for technical operations and maintenance
- Follow-up of technical equipment, installations, and systems
- Planning and execution of preventive maintenance
- Ensuring compliance with HSE procedures, regulations, and applicable legislation
- Troubleshooting and maintenance of technical systems
- Identifying and contributing actively to improvement initiatives
- Collaborating closely with the wider Amar Seafood organizatio
We are looking for someone who
- Has a practical and hands-on approach
- Has experience with technical operations and maintenance
- Preferably has education within technical systems, aquaculture, or marine farming, or other relevant experience
- Is proactive and solution-oriented
- Is structured, independent, and reliable
- Has good execution skills and the ability to see practical solutions
- Has solid computer skills and experience with relevant digital tools
- Is fluent in Norwegian and preferably has some English skills
- Enjoys planning, motivating others, and contributing to a strong team environment
- Thrives in an operational role while also handling administrative tasks efficiently
