Our operations at Frøya are an important part of our plans to scale Atlantic Halibut production in Norway. Here, we are developing our sea-based production while building knowledge and experience that will support the continued growth of halibut aquaculture.
At Frøya, we hold three approved licences for sea cage production, with a combined maximum capacity of 2,350 tonnes. An application for an additional site is currently under review, providing further opportunities to expand production as our operations grow.
Krutøya forms an important part of our activities at Frøya and also serves as a research and development facility. Here, we gain practical experience with sea cage production of Atlantic Halibut while testing equipment and operational solutions that can contribute to more efficient and sustainable production.
