Amar Seafood’s Spotted Wolffish Selected for the World Economic Forum 2026

Jeremy Charles

Amar Seafood’s spotted wolffish will be served at the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting 2026 in Davos-Klosters, Switzerland. From January 19–23, world leaders will gather to discuss global challenges and future priorities, and among the carefully selected menu offerings will be wolffish supplied by Amar Seafood.

The inclusion marks a significant milestone for the company, placing its product on one of the world’s most influential international stages. The World Economic Forum’s annual meeting brings together heads of state, business leaders, and key decision-makers from across the globe, offering a unique setting where policy, innovation, and responsibility intersect.

A Global Forum with High Standards

The World Economic Forum Annual Meeting is widely regarded as one of the most important gatherings for global leadership and dialogue. Each year, a limited number of world leaders convene in Davos to engage in forward-looking discussions on economic development, sustainability, and global cooperation. Every element of the event, including the culinary experience, reflects a strong emphasis on quality, integrity, and responsible choices.

For Amar Seafood, this confirms that the product meets the expectations of a forum where standards are high and carefully defined.

Selected by Chef Jeremy Charles

The initiative to include wolffish on the menu came from internationally respected Canadian chef Jeremy Charles, head chef and co-owner of the acclaimed restaurant Raymonds in St. John’s, Newfoundland. Charles is widely recognized for his ingredient-driven approach to cooking, with a strong focus on indigenous ingredients and the provenance of the raw materials he works with.

His cuisine is rooted in a deep respect for origin and craftsmanship. It was within this context that Charles proposed wolffish for the World Economic Forum menu — a deliberate choice based on the fish’s characteristics, culinary versatility, and suitability for a setting where quality and responsibility are key considerations.

Following discussions with Amar Seafood and approval from the World Economic Forum organizers, wolffish was confirmed as part of the menu served to world leaders during the annual meeting.

Showcasing Wolffish on a Global Stage

Spotted wolffish has long been appreciated by chefs for its versatility, texture, and refined taste. Being included on the menu at the World Economic Forum places both the species and Amar Seafood in an international context, where quality and origin matter.

For Amar Seafood, the selection reflects the company’s focus on delivering reliable, high-quality seafood, and on working closely with chefs and partners who value the raw material as much as the finished dish.

The World Economic Forum Annual Meeting 2026 brings together decision-makers from around the world in a setting defined by high standards. Having spotted wolffish on the menu is something Amar Seafood is proud of, and an acknowledgement of the care and quality behind the product.
